This exhibition is the Asian debut of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris’ most comprehensive collection of historical French fashion. Over 300 stunning pieces of French costume, jewellery, and accessory from the late 18th to the early 20th centuries will be on display — almost all of them are exhibiting in Asia for the first time, and some of them have never even been seen outside of Paris or France. Don’t miss the opportunity to see France’s national fashion collection from the prestigious museum and explore the evolution of French fashion over the centuries, as well as the connection between body and fashion.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a vibrant celebration rich in Chinese traditions and folk culture. Apart from the spectacular lantern displays at the Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnivals, there will be stage performances by arts groups from Mainland China as well as elements of intangible cultural heritage, such as traditional lantern displays, fire dragon dances, and folk craft demonstrations from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, showcasing the charm of Chinese culture and the festival.

Guo Pei, China’s first couture artist, seamlessly blends Chinese cultural heritage with international influences and artistic expression. For nearly 30 years, Guo’s breathtaking runway collections have captivated both fashion and art enthusiasts. In the first major exhibition of Guo’s work in East Asia, M+ will present more than forty stunning haute couture pieces, including key collections and early designs. The exhibition is organised into five main themes, highlighting Guo’s boundless imagination and creativity, and demonstrating the influence of her work across media, eras, and cultures. It showcases Guo Pei's unique artistic style, which draws inspiration from imperial Chinese dress etiquette, European royal fashion, architecture, and the botanical world. Her remarkable creations reflect her innovative approach to tradition and craftsmanship, revealing the transcendent power of fashion and art.

The women’s professional tennis tournament, WTA 125, will be held in Hong Kong for the first time this year. Mainland China’s former women’s No. 1, Wang Qiang, and two-time Grand Slam women’s doubles champion, Zhang Shuai, are set to compete alongside other rising stars.

For the first time ever, Hong Kong will host the ‘WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024’. Twelve international teams will compete fiercely over six days at the Central Harbourfront Event Space, bringing high-energy games and spectacular skills to the city.

Hong Kong will host the inaugural leg of The World Games Series as a new three-sport event: Cheerleading, Roller Sports (freestyle inline) and Wushu (Taolu). Athletes will compete for a chance to qualify for The World Games 2025.

Hong Kong will host the fourth Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival for the first time. Showcasing over 100 fascinating programmes, the festival will be staged in the ‘9+2’ cities within the Greater Bay Area (GBA). With the theme ‘Integration in Diversity – Power and Possibilities’, it will feature performances, museum exhibitions, film screenings and more, highlighting the region's dynamic culture and fostering creative exchange between artists from Hong Kong and the other GBA cities.

The Freespace Jazz Fest 2024 returns for its sixth edition with a four-day celebration of world-class jazz. The festival presents a stellar lineup and a non-stop programme of great sounds. Both local and international talents will take the stage across multiple venues, including indoor and outdoor stages. Hypebeast, the world’s leading global platform for contemporary culture and lifestyle, is bringing Hypefest to Hong Kong for the very first time.
