The Airport Authority Hong Kong has launched a new Refund Application Platform for the air passenger departure tax (APDT) starting from 1 October 2025. Eligible passengers who have paid the APDT at the time of purchasing the air tickets may easily apply for tax refunds by simply uploading supporting documents to the platform. Statue Square in het centrum van Hongkong werd eerst "Royal Square" genoemd toen het aan het eind van de 19e eeuw werd aangelegd. Later kreeg het de naam Statue Square vanwege het aantal beelden hier. Grenzend aan het plein ligt het voormalige gebouw van de Wetgevende Raad (Legco). De ontwerpers gebruikten een neoklassieke stijl en verwerkten kenmerken uit het verre Oosten.
