Statue Square

Statue Square in the centre of Hong Kong was first named “Royal Square” when it was built in the late 19th century and was later dubbed Statue Square due to the number of effigies here. Bordering the square sits the former Legislative Council Building: its designers used a neo-classical style and incorporated far Eastern characteristics.
