Experience summer island fun and admire the wonders of Hong Kong Geopark! From June 7 to August 2025, visitors can enjoy a boat tour* for HK$380 to explore the various islands of Sai Kung and observe geological landscapes up close.

From MTR Tung Chung Station Exit B, take buses 11, 11A or 23 at Tung Chung Station bus terminus. For Lower Cheung Sha Beach, get off at the Cheung Sha Ha Tsuen bus stop, walk 60 m in the same direction as the bus and take the first road left down to the beach. For Upper Cheung Sha Beach, get off at the Upper Cheung Sha Beach bus stop. -

The journey from Central to Mui Wo takes about 35 to 55 minutes, depending on the ferry type. Bus 3M from MTR Tung Chung Station also goes to Mui Wo Ferry Pier. -

Cable car services run from 10am – 6pm.

Pui OThe tree-lined, gently curving Pui O Beach is one of Hong Kong’s lesser-known beachfront delights.How to get thereBy busFrom MTR Tung Chung Station, Exit B, take bus 3M at Tung Chung Station Bus Terminus. Alight at the Lo Uk Tsuen stop and walk across South Lantau Road. Both paths next to Bui O Public School lead to Pui O Beach. Alternatively, you can take a ferry from Central Pier 6 to Mui Wo and take buses 1, 2, 3M or 4 and alight at Lo Uk Tsuen stop. -

From Aberdeen Bus terminus on Wu Nam Street, take the subway under Aberdeen Praya Road and head towards the promenade and pier. You’ll find the Po Toi Ferry Terminal halfway between the Aberdeen Praya public landing steps and the old Jumbo Pier. The kaito ferry to Po Toi Island departs at 10am (once a day). You can also take a 20-minute walk from MTR Wong Chuk Hang Station. The travel time between Aberdeen and Po Toi Island is about 50 minutes.
Weekends and public holidays
You can take a kaito ferry from Aberdeen via Stanley or head straight from Aberdeen/Stanley Pier at weekends and on public holidays.
From Stanley Plaza, head through the shopping mall towards Murray House. The Po Toi kaito ferry departs from Stanley’s Blake Pier, with a travel time of about 30 minutes.

Tung Lung ChauA must-visit destination for thrill-seeking rock climbers of all abilities, Tung Lung Chau's dramatic sea cliffs against splashing waves make for a truly memorable hiking experience.How to get thereBy kaito ferryThere are two kaito ferry routes to Tung Lung Chau: one from Sam Ka Tsuen in Kowloon and another from Sai Wan Ho on Hong Kong Island. Both routes operate only at weekends and on public holidays. From MTR Yau Tong Station, walk for 15 minutes to the Sam Ka Tsuen Ferry Pier. The first kaito ferry departs at 8:20am. From MTR Sai Wan Ho Station, walk for 10 minutes to the Shau Kei Wan Typhoon Shelter Landing No. 10. The first boat leaves at 9am.
