The Torch Relay for the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympics Games (NGDSO) will be held on 29 November 2025. To facilitate the relay, temporary traffic arrangements will be enforced in designated areas in Wan Chai, Tsim Sha Tsui and Kai Tak. Lo Pan Temple in Kennedy Town, built in 1884 and rebuilt in 1928, holds the distinction of being the temple in Hong Kong dedicated mainly to Lo Pan, the patron saint of Chinese builders and carpenters.

A tribute to worship Lo Pan
Lo Pan, also known as Kungshu Pan, was a Chinese carpenter, engineer and inventor in ancient times, revered for his contribution to construction and craftsmanship. The temple reflects the deep respect of people in the building industry for Lo Pan’s expertise and innovations in construction.
A collective tribute from the trade
The temple’s establishment was made possible by donations from more than 1,000 individuals and construction-related companies. It serves as a platform for the construction sector to offer prayers and seek blessings for safety, skill and success in their work.
A showcase of traditional craftsmanship
The temple is elaborately decorated with pottery ridges, historic plaster mouldings and wooden plaques, an intricate altar and wood carvings, and colourful murals celebrating Lo Pan’s legacy, showcasing Lingnan traditional architectural features and craftsmanship.
Recognised for its significant heritage value
