The 2.2-kilometre East Coast Boardwalk, running beneath the Island Eastern Corridor from Fortress Hill to Quarry Bay, is a bustling spot for walking, jogging, cycling and relaxing.
With movable bascule and swing bridges, it allows boats to access coastal waters bounded by the Boardwalk to meet operational needs. These bridges remain connected under normal conditions to ensure smooth pedestrian flow.
Highlights include cascade seating for viewing the stunning sunsets, a kids’ play area, outdoor fitness equipment, fishing platforms, an experiential glass observatory deck and a series of multi-functional open spaces and refurbished piers suitable for all ages, offering a diversified harbourfront experience.
Open around the clock, this pet-friendly walkway transforms underused space into a vibrant harbourfront hub. The swing bridge operates from 6am to 11pm, while the experiential glass observatory deck is available from 10am to 6pm.
