Converted from the century-old Lyemun Fort, the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence is the only military museum in the city. ‘The Story of Hong Kong Coastal Defence’ permanent exhibition tells the story of local coastal defence and military affairs from the Tang dynasty to Hong Kong’s return to China. It also has a military-themed historical trail for visitors to immerse themselves in the military ambience and the natural scenery of this site.
