On Sunday 11 January, Tai Mong Tsai Road and Sai Kung Man Yee Road in Sai Kung will be temporarily closed from 7:30am to 1:30pm for a marathon. During this time, vehicles will not be allowed entry and Green Minibus Route 9A to High Island Reservoir, East Dam will be suspended. Visitors can access East Dam on foot. Tamar Park was opened to public in October 2011 as a part of the Tamar Development Project. Adjacent to the new Central Government Offices and the Legislative Council Complex, it covers an area of around 1.76 hectares with a simple design and a spacious green lawn. Other park facilities include a landscaped garden, water features, a floating platform, the Tamar Corner, an amphitheatre and Tamar Cafe. Visitors can access the Central Piers and the Star Ferry Pier through the adjoining Central and Western District Promenade – Central Section.
