Ap Lei Chau Hung Shing Cultural Festival 2026

On the 13th day of the second lunar month, the residents of Ap Lei Chau celebrate Hung Shing Festival, an event that has over a hundred years of history. The festival pays homage to Hung Shing, with celebrants seeking blessings from the deity for good weather and peace in the neighbourhood. A series of events is held annually, including the blessing of dragon boats, lion dances, a festival parade, religious operas, water lanterns night, and more.
