The Torch Relay for the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympics Games (NGDSO) will be held on 29 November 2025. To facilitate the relay, temporary traffic arrangements will be enforced in designated areas in Wan Chai, Tsim Sha Tsui and Kai Tak. Inspired by the life of Nobel Prize winner and ‘Father of Fibre Optics’ Professor Charles Kao, the LCSD presents an original Cantonese musical, jointly produced by the EKCC, acclaimed local writer Erica Li and music director Johnny Yim. Featuring cutting-edge technologies, HighLights—The Memories of Charles Kao weaves together pop music, dance and drama, bringing Kao’s memories to life from a fresh perspective through 20 original songs.
