Jen Cafe is a passion project of a local baker who’s keen on experimenting with new recipes. After an unforgettable experience sampling Japanese roll cakes, she started creating her own homemade versions of the dessert to share with her friends and eventually started an online business, which, in 2024, evolved into Jen Cafe, located in Sham Shui Po.

Jen Cafe offers freshly baked low-fat, low-sugar roll cakes that delight health-conscious dessert lovers. Their signature flavours include Kyoto hojicha with creamy cheese foam, pistachio with butterfly pea and strawberry, and Uji Koyamaen matcha. If you prefer something savoury, you’ll love their locally inspired char siu and soft-scrambled eggs on sourdough bread as well as prawn pasta with salted egg yolk. Their drink menu includes not only coffee but hand-whisked matcha carefully sourced by the owner from overseas. Jen Cafe refuses to compromise their standards for the sake of commercialisation. Every visit is an opportunity to appreciate their dedication to detail and care.
