HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

  • To assist the Manager, Central Europe in preparing the annual business plan and support to execution of integrated on- and offline campaigns in accordance with the Germany Marketing Strategy.
  • Business development & promotion (b2b and b2c) and proactively identify new sources and optimise existing opportunities of distribution for Hong Kong and multi-destination products amongst the German travel trade.
  • Provide support in negotiating, executing, and evaluating co-op campaigns with trade and media partners, including developing briefs, negotiating and reviewing media plans, preparing signage agreements, coordinating creative assets, and exploring tactical initiatives and product development opportunities.
  • Ensure regular updates/ trainings of the travel trade to increase the tour operators and agents core knowledge of Hong Kong.
  • Promotion and administration of PartnerNet and Hong Kong Specialist websites including regular updating of content and maintaining membership database
  • Create trade email newsletter including researching content, editing, amendment of creative assets, database management & distribution. 
  • Support and update of market relevant content on the discoverhongkong.com/de website, so it contributes effectively to building the long-term brand position for Hong Kong.
  • Digital Marketing: 
    • Social media content creation and ad management via Meta Business Manager and / or Hootsuite as well as agency briefing to ensure coverage of core experiences and mega events and achievement of yearly KPIs.
    • Coordination with agency regarding Google Ads banner campaigns to ensure website KPIs are achieved.
  • Inventory monitoring & replenishment of giveaways as well as shipping.
  • Maintain and monitor trade marketing performance across various marketing disciplines by providing regular analysis of website analytics, campaign outcomes, and URL tracking data. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of both online and offline marketing initiatives by reviewing key performance indicators, performance metrics, and detailed reports to ensure campaign objectives are achieved and strategies remain results driven.
  • Plan and coordinate events such as the ITB trade show, site inspections, roadshows, and familiarisation visits to effectively represent the HKTB.
  • Accurately raise purchase orders, log invoices and check for accuracy against contracts.
  • Assist in managing departmental budget. 
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports covering B2B and B2C activities, key performance indicators, market intelligence, media updates, and other required reporting.
  • Answering trade and consumer enquiries and dealing with walk in customers.
  • Prize winner co-ordination.
     

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A degree holder, with minimum of 3 years’ experience in a marketing role, preferably within the tourism industry, with solid expertise in planning and executing both online and offline campaigns, including social media. Experience with integrated 360° marketing campaigns is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage several tasks at once across different marketing disciplines fostered by a strong can-do attitude.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a keen eye for trends, with the ability to translate insights into innovative and creative concepts and approaches.
  • Strong analysis and reporting skills.
  • KPI-driven and able to work towards targets and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work willingly accurately and under own initiative.
  • Good Knowledge of the following software packages: Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.  META Business Manager and Hootsuite would be a plus.
  • In-depth travel industry experience of the German speaking markets. 
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A strong network of industry contacts is considered a valuable asset.
     

LOCATION:

  • The position is located in our Frankfurt Office.
  • We do not offer moving allowances from other cities.
