HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

This role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing & PR, and work closely with the Director, USA as well as the team in our Toronto Office to devise and implement PR programs and campaigns that support the marketing objectives for both the USA market as well as the region to elevate positive media and stakeholder sentiment for HKTB and for Hong Kong as a leading world class must-see destination.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with media and HKTB’s own media database.
  • Assist in building awareness of HKTB’s product offerings and travel experiences to media, KOL and influencers.
  • Liaise with PR Agency on PR programs, press releases, monthly newsletter, and other communications materials and reports.
  • Manage PR budget and reporting, and other regular reports on such as public value and coverage reports.
  • Carefully monitor PR tender processes for full strategic delivery and full FPP compliance.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts, media partnerships and marketing services agreements with venues, third-party vendors, talent, production companies, influencers/KOLs, agencies of record, and others as they arise.
  • Ensure brand safety and vendor compliance with all US data privacy regulations.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of public relations/corporate communications experience, preferably gained from travel / tourism industry.
  • Detail oriented with superb organizational skills to work independently and to multitask under pressure.
  • Effective team player, able to collaborate with and influence diverse international and multi-cultural internal business teams.
  • Highly proactive and creative, always open to innovative ideas and to embrace change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to travel.

 

LOCATION

  • The position is located in our Los Angeles office.
  • We do not offer moving allowances from other cities.
