HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?
Establish and foster strong relationship with travel industry partners and major stakeholders through strategic partnership programmes, overseas MICE trade shows and study missions.
Implement the established business plans to achieve the set objectives and effectively use allocated resources to drive maximum results and efficiency
Support worldwide offices in target markets to cultivate business leads for corporate meetings and incentive trips, drive bids conversion to wins and ensure that marketing activities are executed effectively and achieve the desired KPI result.
Execute sales and marketing activities effectively and achieve the desired result.
Plan and develop bids for major or high profile association and B2B conventions from key markets, outreach to industry associations and professional entities to identify leads and drive the bidding process to win.
Leverage on government's funding support and value-added offers from MEHK to maximise Hong Kong's chance of winning
Negotiate and partner with trade show organisers and suppliers, inclusive of venues, contractors, production companies, as well as key players in the travel industry of Hong Kong, to foster trade engagement programmes.
Capitalize on key business accounts and constantly outreach for new ones in the market to proactively offer the latest MICE products and offerings information and materials to interested organisers to increase chance of leads materialization.
Support the supervisors with market analysis so that actionable marketing strategies can be formulated.
Undertake any other duties/special assignments as directed by the Director and Senior Manager, Business Development.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Preferably over 8 years of relevant work experience in the travel, servicing or marketing industry, or National Tourist Office, or Convention & Visitor Bureau
Proven experience in handling business development for conventions/MICE events or meetings, incentive travel and managing international trade shows is preferred.
Regional experience in Asia Pacific region is an advantage
Excellent stakeholder management skills to foster partnership with key players such as travel trades, professional and trade associations, B2B conference organisers.
High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is also beneficial.
Sound knowledge in marketing planning, project management and budget control.
Strong communication, presentation, account management and sales management skills.
Excellent Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint) skills.
Good organisation skill, attention to details, willing to work overtime, and can work under pressure.
Willing to travel occasionally.
