HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

  • Develop and drive best practices that improve financial planning, budgeting, analysis and reporting to facilitate decision making. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate financial information / management reports to Governments, Board/Committee members and senior management. 
  • Act as a business partner to proactively drive improvement of process/system supporting financial planning, budgeting and controls & compliance in order to streamline operations while maintaining effective internal control. 
  • Review major contracts to ensure financial terms and conditions are commercially justifiable and in the best interest of the organization. 
  • Provide financial advice, recommendations and budgetary support including spending projection and CAPEX planning for management teams of Head Office & Worldwide Offices. 
  • Lead the annual budget exercise and co-ordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of annual business plan and on-going monitoring of budget, forecast and actual financial information. 
  • Assist General Manager on the statutory audit and ensure compilation of financial statements in accordance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and relevant Ordinances. 
  • Maintain the accuracy of books and records and validity of payments and act as gatekeeper to ensure compliance with Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP) and relevant internal procedures/guidelines. 
  • Monitor the liquidity position of the organisation and manage banking relationships in Hong Kong and other locations.  
  • Assist General Manager on tax planning and compliance review of Worldwide Offices. 
  • Develop and implement changes of FPP and relevant internal procedures/guidelines as and when necessary. 
  • Identify, design and implement changes to financial reporting systems to improve the quality and effectiveness of financial reporting within Finance department. 
  • Undertake any other duties/special assignments as directed by the General Manager. 
     

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • University degree and/or Master in Finance or Accounting and professional qualification of HKICPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 years’ relevant post-qualification experience of which at least 8 years are in management position.
  • Sound commercial acumen with strong competencies and experience in Finance in  multi-national organisations.
  • Strong sense of integrity and corporate governance is a MUST.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills; able to persuade others and communicate well across functions and levels.
  • Highly organised with superior planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organiation skills, able to work independently with an eye on details.
  • Experience in driving and implementing ERP systems.
