Assistant Manager, Trade Marketing

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Trade Marketing, this role supports the overall trade, cruise, and MICE marketing efforts, including servicing related enquiries and implementing targeted marketing strategies and initiatives to elevate Hong Kong’s profile as a desirable tourism destination.

Trade Marketing 

  • Assist Senior Manager in any specific trade projects and activities, including ATL & BTL events and activities initiated by HKTB and with trade partners.
  • Conduct training events/visits/familiarisation trips for retail agent independently.
  • Set up marketing initiatives and support for niche and special interest (including cruise, wine & dining, sports and festivals).
  • Plan, coordinate & execute for identified trade marketing programmes independently. 
  • Produce and distribute trade newsletter for travel trade personnel regularly and collaborate with vendors as necessary.
  • Maintain and update contents on trade-related digital platforms, develop and manage flyers, promotional materials, trade collateral and giveaways.
  • Manage the maintenance of trade databases, collaborate with the Head Office to enhance trade-facing websites’ engagement and database growth.
  • Manage state-based communications with trade partners on a daily basis. 
  • Oversee image and footage requests from trade.

MICE

  • Assist Senior Manager in any specific MICE projects and activities, including MICE familiarisation trips.
  • Manage the logistics for major MICE events that HKTB takes part in, such as the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME).

General

  • Prepare regular trade, cruise, and MICE updates & reports for Head Office.
  • Respond to trade, cruise, and MICE enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage procurement, oversee documentation, and offer support for projects.
  • Undertake any other duties/ special assignments as directed by Office Head
     

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • University graduate with preferably at least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably gained in tourism-related fields, together with good working knowledge of Hong Kong.
  • Confident and professional in dealing with trade partners of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, with good communication and presentation skills. 
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, meet essential deadlines, and to contribute effectively to the team effort.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Executive
     

LOCATION:

  • The position is located in our Sydney Office.
  • We do not offer moving allowances from other cities.
