Assistant Manager, Operations, MICE (2-year Renewable Contract)

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

  • Assist to plan and implement hospitality programs to enhance MICE groups’ travel experience in Hong Kong
  • Being a core player to develop and identify new and unique products and group experience in Hong Kong for MICE groups
  • Develop, organise and co-ordinate effective travel trade events and activities in virtual and/or in-person format and analyse feedback/reports (e.g. industry update briefings, familiarisation visits and business sessions) to promote and reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a premier MICE destination.
  • Contribute in the development of proposals and communication strategies with Hong Kong travel partners to win new and high profile MICE events to Hong Kong 
  • Maintain excellent relationship with Hong Kong MICE partners in supporting them to deliver effective co-operated programmes and tactical campaigns to attract more MICE groups to Hong Kong
  • Handle enquiries from event organisers and planners on products and marketing support in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Provide administrative support for the team, including database management, funding reimbursement handling, internal/external reporting, etc.
  • Undertake any other duties/ special assignments as directed by the Senior Manager.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • University graduate, preferably at least 6 years’ experience in tourism and travel trade industry / event-related operations

  • Sound knowledge of Hong Kong as a tourism destination and world MICE tourism industry; working with Government Department will be an advantage

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, critical thinking and project management skills

  • Highly organised, detail-minded, responsible and able to work independently and exercise good judgements 

  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)

  • Proficiency in PC applications – MS Office applications (esp. MS Excel and MS PowerPoint), Chinese Word Processing
