A park rich in tradition and activities
An oasis of calm in bustling Causeway Bay, Victoria Park is a popular meeting point for Hong Kong locals as well as a hotspot for sunrise tai chi, glowing lantern displays during the Mid-Autumn Festival and flower markets for Chinese New Year.

Officially opened in October 1957, the public park was built on reclaimed land where the former Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter once stood. Today, it covers more than 190,000 square metres and offers a wealth of leisure facilities.

Recreation for all ages
Inside, you’ll find plenty of open space – including a 20,000 square metre central lawn where people gather for major occasions, such as New Year’s Eve.

There are also numerous sporting amenities, including tennis courts, turf fields for bowls, a jogging path with designated fitness training stations, football pitches, roller rinks, basketball courts, a volleyball court and even a swimming pool.

Ideal for families, Victoria Park also has playgrounds filled with slides and swings where little ones can run around and enjoy themselves. 

A historical icon
At the main entrance to Victoria Park, you’ll find a statue of Queen Victoria. The statue has an interesting history; it was taken during the Japanese occupation and was supposed to be melted down; however, it was rescued and eventually moved to its current location.

Seasonal festivities and events
Victoria Park hosts numerous events throughout the year, making it a popular gathering place for the public to mark special occasions or check out events. For example, this is the spot to see the annual Hong Kong Flower Show, the Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival activities.
