Hong Kong to Bali Escape
This 10-day Asia vacation is all about contrasts. From the futuristic skyscrapers of modern Hong Kong to parts of the island that remain unchanged over centuries, to chaotic markets to the serenity of Bali’s beaches, experience the whole spectrum on this unforgettable trip.
Arrive in Hong Kong and embark on a half day tour of Hong Kong Island. This starts with a visit to Victoria Peak for Hong Kong’s most famous view (including a ride on the historic Peak Tram of course), then goes on to some of the island’s most famous attractions including Aberdeen Fishing Village, where even in rapidly changing Hong Kong, life has remained much the same for centuries. You’ll also visit popular (and somewhat ironically named) Repulse Bay Beach, and the Stanley Market. The rest of your time in Hong Kong is yours at leisure. You may wish to explore Kowloon, or visit Lantau Island and take a cable car ride to the Big Buddha.
The rest of your trip takes you to Bali, with six nights to enjoy at your leisure. The Island of the Gods is unique in Indonesia as the only one with a Hindu majority, creating a vastly different culture to the rest of the country. Options for filling in your time are endless. Bali is a fantastic surfing destination – including for beginners who wish to learn. It’s also a prime spot for health and wellness travellers, so don’t be afraid to kickstart your yoga routine or splurge on a massage or several. Of course, you may prefer to immerse yourself in the Balinese culture, visiting local temples and other sights, or some of the villages that dot the picturesque countryside. Your time here is entirely yours, and nobody will blame you at all if you wish to spend most of it just relaxing on the beach!
