The 15th National Games road cycling (men's individual) event will be held on 8 November 2025, spanning over Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. To facilitate the race, temporary control measures will be implemented on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB), HZMB Hong Kong Port and some roads on that day. The Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, housed in the declared monument Kom Tong Hall, offers visitors a captivating journey through Dr Sun’s revolutionary campaign and his intimate connections with Hong Kong, as well as the historic architecture.
Honouring a revolutionary forerunner
Dr Sun Yat-sen was an epoch-making figure in transforming China from a monarchy into a republic. The invaluable artefacts reconstruct the legendary life of Dr Sun, highlighting his strong ties to Hong Kong, where he received his education and developed his revolutionary thoughts and plans.
Engaging exhibitions and interactive displays
The museum features two permanent exhibitions that, through artefacts and audiovisual programmes, provide insights into Dr Sun Yat-sen’s life and career, and Hong Kong's vital role in the reform movements and revolutionary activities of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Declared monument: Kom Tong Hall
The museum is housed in the Kom Tong Hall, built in 1914, which was originally the residence of businessman Ho Kom-tong and has been a declared monument since 2010. The museum building marks the blending of Chinese and Western architectural styles, featuring classical granite columns, a teak staircase, stained-glass windows and patterned wall tiles that complement the era of Dr Sun Yat-sen.
