From 12 August 2022, non-Hong Kong residents and Hong Kong residents are allowed to enter Hong Kong from overseas. The relevant persons are required to comply with all inbound testing and quarantine requirements, including:
Inbound travellers from the Mainland and Macao (with an exemption for those fulfilling certain criteria), their compulsory quarantine period at home are correspondingly adjusted to three nights, followed by four nights of self-monitoring on the third day of arrival in Hong Kong. During the self-monitoring period, they are required to take their body temperature twice daily and undergo compulsory nucleic acid test as required, and Amber Code restrictions under the Vaccine Pass are not applicable.
Passengers transferring or transiting in Hong Kong are not required to present proof of a pre-departure nucleic acid test.

Currently, three immigration control points — Hong Kong International Airport, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port and the Shenzhen Bay Port — are providing regular services with adjusted public transport arrangements.
To maintain social distancing, group gatherings in public places of more than four people are prohibited. The wearing of masks is mandatory in most public places including public transport, except for country parks or while exercising.

Catering businesses selling or supplying food or drink for consumption on the premises of the business are open from 5am to 11:59pm. The maximum number of persons per table for catering premises is eight.
Bars and pubs are open from 5am to 1:59am of the subsequent day with a maximum number of four persons per table. All patrons of bars, pubs, and the bar or pub zone in catering premises are required to present proof of a negative RAT result obtained within 24 hours before entering these premises.

Travellers who produce a positive test result during their stay in Hong Kong will be admitted to a public hospital by the city’s Department of Health for isolation and treatment; close contacts of the confirmed cases will be sent to a quarantine centre.
