The historic Western Market is one of the oldest structures in Sheung Wan. Constructed in 1906 and declared a Hong Kong monument in 1990, this iconic red-brick building underwent renovations in 1991 and was revamped into a neighbourhood shopping complex. The building's distinctive Edwardian-style design, featuring striking white-striped ‘bandaged’ brickwork on the corner towers, makes it truly one of a kind in the city.
