Meaning ‘home’ in Norwegian, Hjem is a cafe in Sheung Wan that serves up traditional Nordic dishes made with top-notch ingredients. Elin Fu, one of the co-founders, grew up in Norway and wanted to introduce the Scandiwegian spirit of slow living to bustling Hong Kong. With a simple but refined menu of farm-to-table dishes, diners can sample an array of healthy Nordic offerings, including classic smørrebrød open-faced sandwiches with rich toppings. Their signature coffees carry a distinct Nordic twist, and must-tries include the honey golden oat latte and the lemon and raspberry posset affogato.
