Some of the most enduring memories of Hong Kong are found in the least expected places. This may be glimpsing a solitary figure practising the ancient and fluid movements of tai chi in a quiet corner of the city, or perhaps stumbling upon a troop of practitioners moving in subtle co-ordination in the morning light of a park.

Tai chi was developed many centuries ago; its graceful movements choreographed to help balance the body’s internal yin and yang, doing as much for the mind and soul as for the body. To this day, the timeless movements of this martial art are regularly practised in Hong Kong to relieve stress and improve health.
