The 2019 Hong Kong E-Prix will see a range of electrifying new features added to its programme as 22 drivers from 11 teams take to Hong Kong’s iconic harbourfront street circuit. Spearheaded by the debut of the long-awaited Formula E Gen2 car, which has almost double the range and energy storage capacity of the previous car, fans will be among the first in the region to witness the future of everyday electric road vehicles.
Formula E is a ground-breaking international urban street racing championship with races in some of the world’s major cities including New York, London, Paris and Hong Kong. Not only is it an exciting attraction, it also aims to test and develop sustainable mobility solutions and help improve the driving experience for everyday road car users all over the world.
The E-Prix takes place on a purpose-built urban track at the Central Harbourfront with major landmarks such as the International Finance Centre, Hong Kong Observation Wheel and Hong Kong City Hall as the backdrop, making the Hong Kong E-Prix one of Formula E’s most iconic races.
