Senior Manager, Strategies & Insights

Location: Hong Kong


Drive analyses and studies to facilitate strategy formulation and to inform business decisions

  • Monitor and analyse industry trends and market changes (e.g. economic, visa & government policies, air connectivity & capacity, competitor activities, market potentials, consumer sentiment & trends) to enable a timely, precise update of market intelligence to senior management and business teams.
  • Deliver insights by integrating knowledge and findings from in-house analyses and external researches/studies to inform business decisions and translate them into strategic paper and plans.
  • Advise the organisation on high-level decisions in an unbiased fashion, using solid industry knowledge, taking macro, forward-looking views, and considering stakeholders’ expectations.

Develop strategic plans and assess performance

  • Drive the process of detailing meticulous and comprehensive business plans to accomplish organisational objectives and goals within available resources.
  • Compile Annual Business Plan, strategic paper, and other documents for internal circulation/submission to the Government.
  • Assist senior management in thinking through and setting strategies, and making sure they are implemented with aligned and concerted efforts across the various business teams.
  • Align processes, resources planning, and department goals with the overall strategy.

Serve as a liaison to senior management teams and other stakeholders

  • Serve as a buffer between senior management and business teams in handling information flow, anticipating issues, and solving problems.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal discussions as well as meetings and communications with Committee and the Government on strategies, business plans, and initiatives.
  • Support Director on ad-hoc tasks, special assignments, documentation, and grooming the team.


  • Degree holder with 12 years of working experience preferably in strategic planning, corporate development, business analysis, quantitative analysis, or a related field.
  • Those who have worked in consulting firms or in-house strategic planning and related roles are welcome to apply. Practical experiences in working directly with C-level executives will be an advantage.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Good analytical skills - Have strong business acumen. Able to review and analyse large amounts of (quantitative/qualitative) data and research findings to gain a precise understanding of the subject matter. Have hands-on experience in making abstract concepts/complex topics into presentable ideas for a range of audiences.
  • Good people skills – Able to effectively communicate, interact, and work with individuals and groups. Be sensitive to issues that require diplomacy.
  • Good time management – Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise. Commit to quality and work to tight timelines and under pressure.
  • Agile and flexible – Be adaptable to new tasks and change of plan, manage ad-hoc requests that require fast turnaround, and tailor deliverables for different stakeholders.
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager
