Identify, create and develop new features/ gimmicks and selling points so as to enhance the overall appeal of each HKTB mega event, campaign and core experience promotion for visitors and locals alike.
Perform research, plan, develop and execute physical and digital elements and programmes in order to raise event/ campaign/ core experiences’ awareness, upkeep HK’ visibility and drive participation of HKTB events and campaigns.
Liaise, lobby and communicate with government departments, district councils, NGOs, pressure groups and other key stakeholders for solicitation of comments and support for planning and execution of HKTB events and campaigns.
Keep abreast of the latest guidelines, policies, rules & regulations of relevant government departments/authorities/ international sports federations/ governing bodies to ensure the compliance of HKTB events and campaigns.
Monitor and evaluate satisfaction of participants and supporting organisations in HKTB events and campaigns with the use of data analytics; apply latest research learnings and marketing tactics to refine event concept/ elements and associated results & KPIs, maximise the ROI, and build/ sustain the relationship among different supporting organisations.
Liaise, co-ordinate and negotiate with different functional teams (e.g. marketing and PR) within HKTB to ensure smooth delivery of event components/ deliverables;
Supervise and monitor event managers/ service contractors/ supporting organisations to ensure quality and timely delivery of services required in accordance with the agreed scope of services/ roles and responsibilities;
Process and procure all necessary licenses and permits for staging the event and ensure its compliance with all applicable HK laws and regulations;
Develop operation plans and administer all related process and logistics for staging the agreed event components in accordance with corporate policy;
Look out for collaboration opportunity with any third party for the virtue of event planning and implementation
University graduates, preferably in disciplines of event management/ sports and recreation management/ marketing and with at least 8 years’ experience in relevant fields
Proven records of event marketing, organising and managing large-scale / territory-wide event and promotional campaign. Experience in organising outdoor sports events / mass participation events would be an advantage.
Excellent time management and resources planning skills. An independent and resilient individual who is capable of handling unexpected changes happened during the organisation of events.
Creative and resourceful connection with commercial establishments, chambers of commerce, local community and charitable organisations, NGOs, national and community sports organisations.
Effective communication and presentation skills in particular for negotiating and running outdoor events when legal and contractual obligations are involved.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise among assignments to meet tight deadlines, willing to work long hours during event season and to function effectively and efficiently under pressure.
Proactive in solving/ preventing problems, an eye for details and demonstrate analytical and creative thinking.
An initiative, responsible and self-disciplined team player with good interpersonal skills
Proficiency in PC applications - MS Office, Chinese Word Processing
