Assistant Manager, Communications (Mainland China & Taiwan Focused)

Location: Hong Kong

Responsibilities:

Overseas Public Relations

• To assist in formulating PR strategy and monitoring publicity results in responsible market(s)
• To design theme, itinerary and provide ground assistance in media fam visits for generating positive coverage
• To cultivate closer working relationship with HK-based Mainland and Taiwan media for generating positive coverage
• To provide timely information & assistance to WWOs colleagues to market Hong Kong
• To handle media enquiries of responsible market(s)

Project Management

• To propose project ideas and implementation plan for maximising global/regional publicity; and to execute the project ideas and monitor results

Day-to-Day duties

• To maintain an update database to keep track of the Mainland and Taiwan correspondents in HK; and to provide day-to-day support and assistance to Mainland and Taiwan PR counterparts
• To update with the latest HK trend, attractions and tourism infrastructures and initiate new ideas to promote Hong Kong

Requirements:

• At least 5-year solid experience in the field of public relations, journalism, communications and/or promotions.
• Knowledgeable in communications and marketing, as well as management on project.
• Equipped with strong communication skills and business acumen to provide quality services in fulfilling corporate requirements.
• Excellent command in both written and spoken English and Chinese especially Mandarin.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and be proficient in identifying and resolving complex operational, organisational and staff issues.
• Multi-tasking and be able to withstand stresses and strains.
