Surrealism is a time full of bizarre and dreamy imagery with unsettling juxtapositions. As one of the highlighted programmes of the French May Arts Festival, the Hong Kong Museum of Art is collaborating with the Centre Pompidou to showcase hundreds of diversified art pieces and archive material which explore the Surrealist world by coordinating this influential art movement and its associations with mythologies. Works by significant artists will be featured to show the diffusion of Surrealists at the international level, as well as an inclusive picture of the movement development.
