Visitors to the Liang Yi Museum are in for a treat as they marvel at luxury antique collections from Asia and Europe.
Housed across 20,000 square feet, spanning four floors of a restored heritage building on Hollywood Road, the Liang Yi Museum invites guests to embark on a captivating and refined journey through time and culture. Here, visitors can see more than 400 exquisite pieces that have been collected by renowned tycoon and art connoisseur, Peter Fung, and his daughter Lynn.
For Fung, a prolific art collector, the Liang Yi Museum serves to showcase his passion for preserving and celebrating Chinese art, history and craftsmanship. Together with his daughter, the two have curated a treasure trove or rare and opulent artefacts that span centuries of creativity.
Liang Yi is home to two permanent collections. The first comprises classical Chinese antique furniture alongside a stunning array of ceramics, jade carvings and more. Highlights include the intricately carved wooden screens, detailed lacquerware and carefully crafted Qing dynasty furniture. The second is a diverse display of luxury vanities, some dating back to the 17th Century Edo Period in Japan, others from design powerhouses including Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.
In addition, there is always something new to see as the Liang Yi Museum regularly hosts exhibitions to showcase renowned artists and collections from around the world. Previous exhibitions include ‘The Blue Road: Mastercrafts from Persia,’ ‘Beneath the Surface: Chinese Inlay; Japanese Maki-e; and European Cloisonné Enamel,’ and ‘Masterpieces of British Silver: Highlights from the Victoria and Albert Museum.’
