When visiting Hong Kong during the National Day Golden Week holidays, choose less busy boundary control points to cross the border with ease. Click here to check the passenger traffic at each control point, or download the Hong Kong Immigration Department app to check the estimated queuing situation at each land boundary control point.
This Mid-Autumn Festival, Lee Tung Avenue presents the ‘Moon Fest Lumiere’ on the 200-metres-long, tree-lined pedestrian walkway with over 800 auspicious lanterns, including designs like the Jade Rabbit and goldfish for the first time. The ‘LED Fire Dragon Fiesta’ is also making a comeback so visitors can get up close to the glowing dragon and experience this unique rendition of the intangible cultural heritage.
Tourists can receive a mini lantern for free upon presenting a valid passport along with a relevant record of entry to Hong Kong on a first-come, first-served basis.
