The Cantonese Opera Young Talent Showcase divides into five phases, nurturing new talents ranging from performers to backstage practitioners in the Yau Ma Tei Theatre. By staging more than 100 performances and outreach activities, the showcase passes on the legacy of Cantonese opera through young artists and the only Hong Kong art form on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
