Senior Manager, Operations, MICE

  • Formulate and implement customized funding support programmes for different sectors including ground operators, licensed hotels, overseas & Mainland China travel agents, exhibition organisers to increase their competitiveness in driving overnight MICE visitors to Hong Kong.
  • Identify and recommendlatest MICE venues, products and experiences, byworking closely with local and overseas travel trade partners, service providers, Business Development teams andworldwide offices, so as to cater for the needs of the event organisers/participants.
  • Maintain close business relationship with Hong Kong MICE partners, provide them with latest MICE updates, offer assistance in facilitating their promotional efforts and collect market intelligence.
  • Plan and implement effective familiarisation programmes and study missions to showcase Hong Kong’s unrivalled strengthens as a premier MICE destination, with an aim to generate and convert business leads to successful MICE events.
  • Organise and coordinate both overseas and local trade promotion events to promote Hong Kong as the preferred MICE destination and latest MICE offerings.
  • Plan, implement and strengthen hospitality programmesfor MICE visitors, such as special offers from trade partners, cultural performances, souvenirs and other privileges that can create and enrich MICE visitors’ experiences.
  • Work closely with Business Development teams and MICE organisers to coordinate and execute special support for eligible MICE groups, such as financial and in-kind offers, by cross-checking event details, attendance records and relevant supporting documentations.



  • Degree holder with preferably at least 10 years’ relevant experience, gained in tourism and travel trade industry.
  • Sound knowledge of Hong Kong and global tourism as well as MICE segments.
  • Strong experience in event management and operation support.
  • Experience in planning and delivering familiarisation programmes and study missions for overseas partners, corporate clients and association executives.
  • Strong communications, presentation and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsm especially Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
  • Responsible, mature and able to work on multiple tasks under pressure.
