Assistant Manager, Event & Product Development (2-year Renewable Contract)

Location: Hong Kong

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate tourism products and third party events promotion strategy in line with HKTB overall business plan.
  • Identify, assess and facilitate potential events and products that can enhance visitors’ experience and drive visitor arrivals.
  • Develop, organise and co-ordinate 'Arts in Hong Kong' and marketing campaigns to maximise awareness of events and products. Develop operation plans and administer all related process and logistics in accordance with corporate policy.
  • Work with external stakeholders and internal functional teams on the promotion of events, products and facilities so that a concerted and effective plan can be implemented.
  • Monitor and keep abreast of the latest progress of tourism related developments and update different functional teams in a timely manner in preparation of the overall strategic planning. Collate and compile inputs from HKTB and tourism trade for Governmental feasibility studies, development projects and district enhancement works.
  • Prepare presentations, copywriting and provide administrative support.
  • Undertake any other duties/special assignments as directed by the Manager.

Requirements:

  • University graduates, preferably in disciplines of marketing / communications / tourism and with at least 5 years’ experience in relevant fields.
  • Proven record of tourism product management / events marketing promotion / event-related operations / public relations account servicing.
  • Good knowledge on the operation of various Government Departments from the perspective of infrastructural development & event development;
  • Creative and resourceful connection with local community, NGOs, artists and cultural/education institutes etc.
  • Proficient and confident in negotiation and persuasion.
  • Strong organisational skill, interpersonal skills and attend to details.
  • Able to work independently, handle multi-tasks and set priorities.
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua).
