A-Man Hing Cheong

Exclusively for men, A-Man Hing Cheong specializes in English-style suits and shirts. On average, expect to wait about a week for a suit and three days for a dress shirt. In business for over a century, it has some 1,000 samples in stock and staff members are happy to recreate your favorite designs. On average, a suit here will cost upwards of $10,000.

Amo's Tailor

Amo's Tailor has three decades of experience in men’s suits. It doesn’t come cheap—you can expect to pay around $6,000 for a suit—although you do get what you’re paying for. Suits are made with top-quality fabrics, mostly imported from Italy.

Established in 1986, David Fashions carries a vast selection of imported fabrics, many from Italy. In fact, name the material and color and David Fashions will probably stock it. De-luxe Tailor

De-luxe Tailor is a no-nonsense tailor tucked away on the seventh floor of the Yip Fung Building. Relying solely on word-of-mouth, Paul Yiu and Johnny Leung have been keeping men well-dressed since 1976. Dressing its clients in shirts, suits, tuxedos, sports jackets, overcoats and slacks, De-luxe focuses on detail, quality and customer service. Suits are generally delivered within 10 days but urgent requests can be completed in four or five days.

Empire Tailors

An old-school, family-run business, Empire Tailors has been operating since 1983. Specializing in men’s tailoring services, there are 12 tailors who work on suits and a further 25 working on shirts. Two fittings are required for your custom suit, and the whole process takes three days—although rush orders are also available.

One of Hong Kong’s most famous outfitters, the legendary Sam’s Tailor has attracted a long list of notables. Established in 1957, Sam and his son offer fine tailoring services and have a reputation as one of the best “24-hour suit” makers. It’s possible to jam two or three fittings into just one day, but you can also take your time getting your outfit tinkered to perfection.
