Hong Kong Sevens

Hong Kong Sevens Hong Kong Sevens Hong Kong Sevens

Since its humble kick-off in 1976 as a vehicle to boost rugby’s presence in Asia, Hong Kong Rugby Sevens has grown into one of the biggest rugby events on the international sporting calendar. Every year, teams from the world’s top rugby nations compete in lightning-fast 15-minute matches in front of 40,000 spectators. And the action at Hong Kong Stadium is merely the epicentre of a city-wide carnival.

This year, British pop legend UB40 will headline the kick-off concert at Queen Elizabeth Stadium on 5 April. Don’t forget to pop by the Hong Kong Sevens Festival at Lee Gardens held from 24 March to 8 April, where you can take part in rugby clinics with international teams and an obstacle course for kids, enjoy food and drink and catch some rugby action live on a giant screen!
