The Hong Kong Wine & Dine Month is an epicurean feast of wine-themed events that has helped establish Hong Kong as the principal place in Asia to enjoy the finer things in life, including wines from around the world paired with the creations of the city’s culinary wizards.

Each year, the event kicks off with the internationally-celebrated Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival and follows through with a month-long series of events and promotions, including street carnivals, restaurant wine and dine offers, wine-themed tours, classes and fairs.

Hong Kong's hotels roll out the red carpet during the month with free signature dish and wine offers while other hotel restaurants waive their corkage fees. Moreover, wine and dine promotions can be found across the city throughout November.

In addition to the great variety of wine and dine offers, a highlight of 2012 was the 30 Giant Decorative Wine Bottles placed around town, the creations of 11 local designers. And, as usual, the HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair once again lived up to its reputation as the region's premier event for introducing the industry to one of the world's fastest growing wine markets.

There was a series of fascinating events for everyone from serious wine buffs and enthusiastic novices, including classes on cooking Chinese food, tours of a wine cellar that served as a military bunker as well as food tours of some of the city's interesting neighbourhoods.
