Quality Tourism Services (QTS) Scheme
The Quality Tourism Services (QTS) Scheme makes it easy for you to find shops, restaurants, budget visitor accommodation and hair salons that you can trust.
Under the scheme administered by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), QTS-accredited establishments must pass stringent annual assessments showing that they meet high standards of product quality and service. This means they must:
• Provide clearly displayed prices
• Display clear product information
• Ensure superb customer service.
The HKTB has commissioned the Hong Kong Productivity Council as its QTS Scheme consultant responsible for conducting the assessments and mid-year surveillance visits of shopping and dining merchants. The Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency has been appointed to do the same for budget visitor accommodation premises and hair salons.
For more than 10 years, and with the staunch support of all its accredited merchants, the QTS Scheme has reinforced Hong Kong’s image as a destination offering quality tourism services and products. To recognise QTS-accredited merchants for their contributions and to promote the QTS Scheme, the HKTB has organised a QTS Outstanding Merchant Award. You can check out last year’s winners here.
In addition, QTS-accredited merchants who’ve been accredited for 10 consecutive years or more receive a specially designed QTS decal to display in their shop fronts.
The HKTB also provides assistance for enquiries about shops, restaurants, budget visitor accommodation and hair salons accredited by the QTS Scheme. Please call the HKTB Visitor Hotline on +852 2508 1234 for assistance.
