The MICE business continues to boom in Hong Kong with a truly diverse range of conventions and exhibitions keeping our venues buzzing throughout the spring and summer. The Asia Funeral Expo returned for a second year with 25% more exhibition space and record attendance, while our home-grown ART HK recorded a 60% increase in visitors. What's more, the International Conference on Mobility and Transport for Elderly and Disabled Persons attracted record participants at its first staging in Hong Kong, and we were honoured in hosting the first Joint World Conference on Social Work and Social Development.
If you're looking for an inspiring new cultural venue for events, the Museum of Art is offering some spectacular space as well as exclusive tours of selected galleries.
We also have some great new group activities, ranging from an executive workshop that tests leadership skills in a totally dark environment, to dim sum cooking lessons from a Michelin two-star chef and insights on the ancient art of tea making.
Read on and enjoy!

Funeral expo undertakes expanded role
Over the years, Hong Kong’s strategic location and excellent global transport network, enhanced by its multicultural and open society, have enabled its exhibition portfolio to encompass the most diverse and sensitive subjects, including the funeral industry.

Held from 13-15 May, Asia Funeral Expo (AFE) is the largest global trade event in Asia and the only international funeral show endorsed by the US Department of Commerce. Riding on last year’s success, AFE took up 25% more exhibition space and attracted a record 2,300 buyers, delegations, associations, officials and undertakers from all over the world.

As part of the Expo, the AFE International Summit featured leading experts exchanging views and discussing the latest developments under the theme of “Go for Professionalism”. AFE will return to Hong Kong on 19-21 May 2011. |
