Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival a Huge Success!

More than 30 overseas teams and over 150 local squads took to the waters of iconic Victoria Harbour for three days of spirited racing during the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival. The three-day competition included the Sa Sa 2011 Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races (17-19 June 2011).


The Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade was packed with thousands of enthusiastic spectators, energetic athletes and their supporters. Everybody was so excited watching the races at the beautiful harbour with the Hong Kong lsand skyline as background.

While the waters around East Tsim Sha Tsui teemed with brightly decorated dragon boats, on land, spectators soaked up all the excitement of the races as a party atmosphere reigned supreme.

San Miguel, one of Hong Kong's most popular beers, put on a Beer Garden where spectators and athletes could relax with a cold beverage and enjoy an assortment of mouth-watering foods and snacks. Also on tap was an assortment of non-stop live entertainment on stage as well as roving entertainers to keep people in a party mood.
