Travellers entering Hong Kong from Mainland China at the Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau checkpoint can take the local MTR train into town after passing through Hong Kong Immigration.

Intercity service
MTR runs regular through-train intercity services between Guangdong Province, Beijing and Shanghai. The through train terminus is MTR Hung Hom Station on the Kowloon harbour-front, where travellers go through Hong Kong Immigration control.
