jogging For those who like to keep fit, Hong Kong offers several jogging paths where you can enjoy the outdoors and a relaxed, green environment; all in the urban areas. Try for an early morning run. It's a chance to see local people, young and old, practising the Chinese martial art of tai chi.
 
 
Hong Kong Island - Hong Kong Park

Situated beside Hong Kong's financial district, Hong Kong Park in Admiralty is an easily reached refuge from city life. This eight-hectare park, located behind Pacific Place shopping mall, has walking paths that can be used for an early morning run. As you jog through the park, you'll pass a pond filled with large colourful goldfish, landscaped gardens, an aviary and waterfalls. Look and listen, but it's wise to avoid contact with the birds.

Hong Kong Island - The Peak Circle Walk
This path high above the harbour is a great way to combine a workout with sightseeing. Starting from The Peak Tower, you can run along the cliff-side Lugard Road that overlooks the skyscrapers of Central, Victoria Harbour and the Kowloon Peninsula. The view is spectacular. As you round the mountain, Lugard Road turns into Harlech Road and the view changes from urban to rural. Below is a green valley and reservoir. In the distance lie outlying islands and the South China Sea. After 3.5 kilometres, you're back where you started. Ready for another lap?

How to go there Take the Peak Tram from the Peak Tram Lower Terminus on Garden Road (Central MTR Exit J2), or take bus 15 from Exchange Square bus terminus (Hong Kong MTR Exit D).

Hong Kong Island - Victoria Park
Bordering the popular shopping and dining area of Causeway Bay, Victoria Park is a magnet for all kinds of sport enthusiasts. A 600-metre-long jogging path cuts through wooded areas and passes fitness stations. The park also has a Pebble Walking Trail and walking paths along with public tennis courts and swimming pools that can be used for a small fee.

Kowloon - Kowloon Park

This 13.5-hecatare oasis is set right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. Within it is a fitness trail, Chinese Garden and Banyan Court, etc. Other facilities at the park include Kowloon Park Swimming Pool, Sculpture Garden and Conservation Corner, etc.
