Along the way you'll pass the homes of Hong Kong's rich and famous tycoons, discover a priceless architectural relic and glimpse outstanding panoramas of Kowloon. You'll also pay a visit to one of the area's residential districts and view life in a typical public housing estate.

Kadoorie Avenue
The tour starts with a drive along Kadoorie Avenue, named for one of Hong Kong's wealthiest and most powerful families. Along this hillside avenue live some of Hong Kong's richest citizens.

Chi Lin Nunnery
This incredible Buddhist temple measures 30,000 square metres and is an architectural gem. It features spectacular Tang dynasty-style architecture and its seven wooden halls were constructed using wooden pegs instead of metal nails. The temple is a peaceful oasis that is sure to provide never-to-be-forgotten memories.

Lung Cheung Road Lookout Point
Then it's on to the highest point of land in Kowloon for panoramic views of Hong Kong's splendid Victoria Harbour and the runway at the former Kai Tak airport. You'll find out how the range of hills around the Kowloon Peninsula and the water in Victoria Harbour work together to create good feng shui for Hong Kong.

Sham Shui Po / Shek Kip Mei Public Housing Estate
Sham Shui Po is a colourful Kowloon community, home to some of Hong Kong's original public housing estates such as the ones you'll see in Shek Kip Mei. Here you can have a close-up look at the housing provided to the local residents and get a glimpse of the lifestyle of those who live here. Sham Shui Po is also a commercial hub with many factory outlets selling discount clothes. The area also features some great flea markets.

Apliu Street Flea Market
Welcome to the Apliu Street flea market where the latest game consoles, computers, cameras and DVD players are sold. Nearby, you can find alleys packed with shops selling ribbons, bows, buttons and other trinkets of interest. You can sometimes find antique clocks, old coins, other collectibles, and pleasant surprises. This is a fantastic place to simply browse and pick up a bargain to remember your Kowloon Discovery Tour.
