The Shenzhen
Special Economic Zone lies across the Hong Kong boundary on the
other side of Shenzhen River, the natural dividing line between
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Mainland China. The
morning tour includes transfer by tour bus or train to the boundary,
where a road bridge leads into Shenzhen City. Stops in the city
include a visit to a kindergarten (school days only) and a local
free-trade market. Visitors also have the option of touring one
of three theme parks in Shenzhen: Splendid China, the China Folk
Culture Village and Windows of the World.
Splendid China
Boasting more than 70 famous scenic wonders of China in miniature, including the Great Wall, this is the world’s largest display of miniature landmarks. Visitors get to see and experience the architectural splendour and cultural highlights of different parts of China ?all under one roof.
China
Folk Culture Village Tour & Carnival Extravaganza
Situated by the beautiful Shenzhen Bay and covering an area of 24 hectares, the village is home to various ethnic minorities of China, who can be seen practising their diverse forms of folk arts and culture. When night falls, a massive Folk Culture Carnival and Parade is held at 8:30pm. This colourful extravaganza of ethnic performances and street parades is a spectacular finale to the day.
Windows
of the World Tour & Carnival Extravaganza
Following a similar theme to Splendid China, this scenic park set against the backdrop of Shenzhen Bay features miniature world wonders such as a replica of the Eiffel Tower. At night, it becomes host to the Carnival Extravaganza when hundreds of artistes put on a gala performance of song and dance that is simply electrifying.
