The Peak Tower
The unmistakable wok-shaped roof of The Peak Tower was designed by British architect Terry Farrell. Sitting just beneath Victoria Peak in the area known locally as ‘The Peak’, the mall’s viewing platform – Sky Terrace 428 – stands 428 metres above one of the world’s most breathtaking cityscapes. The Sky Gallery documents the ever-changing appearance of Hong Kong with an exhibit of historical photos.
On the shopping side, the multi-level complex is a good spot for picking up Hong Kong gifts and mementos – the Peak Market offers shoppers a modern reinterpretation of traditional Hong Kong shopping experiences such as Temple Street and Ladies' Market with Chinese artwork, curios, silk, watches, jewellery and electronics on sale.
Dining here is international and can come with jaw-dropping beautiful views of Victoria Harbour – you get anticipatory glimpses of this vista from the escalator that runs up beside a huge glass wall. Restaurants include cafes, Western family-style chains and Chinese and Japanese . There is entertainment too with the Hong Kong home of Madame Tussauds located here.
