Kowloon Behind the Scenes

Kowloon Behind the Scenes

It’s impossible to experience all the quirks of rambunctious Kowloon in a single day, but this tour gets pretty close. It begins with a taste of true Hong Kong culture with a cup of ‘milk tea’ brewed in a local dai pai dong traditional open-air cafe. Then, it’s off to the Jade Market to fossick for a bargain while learning all about this revered stone. Next you’ll stop in at a Tin Hau Temple to see how the Chinese honour their patron saint of fishermen – an extremely important deity to a community that has long lived by the sea! Nearby Shanghai Street is one of Hong Kong’s oldest streets, where you'll then head to browse shops selling traditional Chinese utensils, ceremonial items and traditional Chinese wedding gowns. The tour moves on to a dim sum lunch at an award-winning restaurant where you can become inspired for your following Chinese cooking class.
