Hong Kong Sevens

Hong Kong Sevens Hong Kong Sevens Hong Kong Sevens

Since its humble kick-off in 1976 as a vehicle to boost rugby’s presence in Asia, the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens has grown into one of the biggest rugby events on the international sporting calendar. Every year, teams from the world’s top rugby nations compete in lightning-fast 15-minute matches in front of 40,000 spectators. And the action at Hong Kong Stadium is merely the epicentre of a city-wide carnival.

This year, the Grammy award winner and global icon Gwen Stefani will have a one-off performance as the kick-off of the Hong Kong Sevens Festival at the Central Harbourfront Event Space on 5 April. Don’t forget to join the Sevens party at Sevens Central where you’ll find live music, tribute acts performing as Pink, Queen, Oasis, the Rolling Stones and more, as well as the Rugby Sevens live on the big screen from 6–7 April. Travelling with kids? Visit the Hong Kong Sevens Fan Walk at Lee Gardens from 5–7 April, a family-friendly event with a ninja obstacle course, street performers, food and drink and live rugby action on the big screen.
