This annual gourmet extravaganza is your key to living a few days of la dolce vita in Asia’s world city!
You'd be forgiven for thinking every month is a celebration of food in Asia’s world city, but the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Month is when the city's dining hotspots take things to an even higher level with exemplary cuisine and carnival entertainment.
In 2013, this included a festival in The East, a vibrant dining neighbourhood in Wan Chai; an eclectic carnival at Lan Kwai Fong, one of Hong Kong's most popular nightlife spots; and a multicultural food and music extravaganza at Stanley, a laid-back village renowned for its restaurant scene.
You can rest assured 2014 will bring an equally good choice of food and wine carnivals and festivals that will help you discover some of Hong Kong's most interesting culinary corners while taking your taste buds on a tour of the world.
As if there wasn’t already enough to whet your appetite during Wine & Dine Month, a packed calendar of other extracurricular activities each year ensures you’ll never go hungry or thirsty!
Exclusive restaurant offers, wine appreciation classes, wine-themed cooking classes and private tours have been some of the events that have kept enthusiasts and novices alike busy.
The annual HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair is always a hit with connoisseurs eager to learn about upcoming products and try what’s new to the market. And each year usually includes an artistic element, such as the 2013 collaboration with Hulu Culture to present 30 enormous wine bottles (2.5m and 4m tall) as works of art created by local designers.
You can expect a similar array of gourmet activities in 2014 – stay tuned for details!
