A Symphony of Lights has dazzled Victoria Harbour since 2004 and is recognized as one of the world’s most spectacular light shows. This year, the harbour will be illuminated by an enhanced winter edition of the multimedia show. Expect to see even more colour with additional ambient lighting effects and pyrotechnic effects from some of the building rooftops on specific nights. Don’t miss this dazzling experience!

Enjoy Hong Kong’s display of selected light art pieces by artists from Hong Kong and overseas, including Belgium, France, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Singapore and the USA. Many of the inspiring and fascinating installations are interactive and invite viewers to participate, from revealing your inner beauty with ‘Angels of Freedom’ and taking part in the dialogue of ‘Talking Heads’, to walking through the arches of ‘Bat and Coin’. Also, don’t miss the 25-metre-tall ‘XTree’, which uses lighting, sound and visuals to suggest a new, innovative and environmentally-friendly way to preserve the tradition of Christmas trees. Overall, the exhibition makes the beautiful harbour front even more atmospheric and photogenic and a perfect place to linger and enjoy the city’s festive ambience.

Dawn on the Horizon: Tai Mo Shan Sunrise Hike

Observe the dramatic change from night to day from Hong Kong’s highest peak. This pre-dawn hike to Tai Mo Shan is an ideal way to see the morning light gently unfolding over skyscrapers. Take in the dizzying city lights as you move all the way to the top and see the awe-inspiring faces of Hong Kong. Tour ends at Chuen Lung Village where you can enjoy a dim sum breakfast.

 

Itinerary: Hike from 710 metres above sea level to the top of Hong Kong's highest mountain, Tai Mo Shan, at 957 metres, where you will watch the sunrise. Then, head to Chuen Lung Village for traditional dim sum.
