'The Silver Age: Origins and Trade of Chinese Export Silver' exhibition

Taking the role of silver in global economic development as a starting point, this exhibition explores the origins of Chinese export silver, Hong Kong as a silver trading hub during the late 19th and the first half of the 20th century, and the city’s close relation with other silver manufacturing centres in China.
